MCPWP turns any WordPress site into an MCP server. Once connected, AI agents (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and others) can manage your entire site through natural language.

What you’ll need

  • A WordPress site (self-hosted or managed)
  • Admin access to install plugins
  • An MCP-compatible AI client (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or ChatGPT)

Steps

  1. Install the plugin — upload the zip or install from WordPress.org
  2. Generate an API key — takes 30 seconds in WP Admin
  3. Connect your AI client — paste one config block
